A South Korean Industrial Designer has come up with a satirical solution for "Smartphone Zombies" who can't take their eyes away from their screen long enough to stop themselves from walking into a wall or other obstacle. Paeng Min-wook has developed a robotic eyeball called "The Third Eye", which obsessive mobile phone users can strap to their foreheads so they can browse injury-free on the way.
WhatsApp is reportedly developing a Flash Call feature that helps users to log into their accounts quickly. When a user tries to log in to Whatsapp, a 6-digit code is sent on their phone for verification. This will enable users to log in quicker than the SMS verification process and should prove to be useful once multi-device support is rolled out and users can log in to multiple devices simultaneously.
Elon Musk has become the target for the decentralized international group, Anonymous which has threatened Tesla CEO Musk in a video posted on the Facebook page of Anonymous, that blaming him for "destroying the lives of cryptocurrencies investors with his tweet". The video sends warning shots to Elon, stating- "you may think you are the smartest person in the room, but now you have met your match". It seems like Musk has taken note of the warning video. Since the video's appearance online, he sent out a tweet saying "Don't kill what you hate. Save what you love".
Twitter is suspended "indefinitely" in Nigeria, "for the president use of the platform for activities that are capable of undermining Nigeria's corporate existence, according to a statement "threaded on Twitter" from the country's minister of information and culture. The move came after the platform removed a threatening tweet by President Muhammadu Buhari which Twitter said violated its "abusive Behaviour" policy.
👉 Xiaomi Phones will soon get an Earthquake Monitoring
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi is planning to integrate its more devices with sensors and AI algorithms that will be able to warn users about emerging earthquakes. The company announced that this feature is now available in 25 provinces across china and since the launch of the earthquake early warning function, it has successfully warned more than 35 earthquakes of magnitude 4.0 or higher. Xiaomi first integrated an earthquake alert on its custom MIUI ROM for its phones and smart TVs in 2010 in collaboration with Chengdu High-Tech Disaster Mitigation Institute.
👉 Battlegrounds Mobile India - "It's Almost Time", new teaser states
Krafton announced Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) in May 2021. The PUBG Mobile India replacement is expected to launch soon. Krafton did not reveal the release date of the much-anticipated game at the time of the announcement. The company's latest teaser, however, hints at an imminent launch. BGMI's official Facebook Page has dropped a new teaser page, revealing that "it's almost time" to have chicken dinner. The teaser does not reveal the official release date. By some latest leaks states that BGMI launches in India on June 18.
President Joe Biden signed an order Thursday amending a ban on U.S investments in Chinese companies begun under his predecessor, naming 59 companies with ties to china's military or in the surveillance industry, including Huawei Technologies Co. and the country's three biggest telecommunications companies. Theban on new investments will take effect August 2 at 12AM in new york, according to administration officials who briefed reporters on condition of anonymity.
